Disney Wish is the latest feature length picture from Walt Disney Animation Studios. And although it may be set in an enchanted kingdom full of magic, the lead character, Asha, is no princess. Her story brings a message of self discovery and a realisation about what it really means to wish upon a star. The secret? It’s you. Inspired by the classic wishing star, made famous by the tale of 1940’s Pinocchio. Wish follows 17-year-old Asha (voiced by West Side Story Oscar winner Ariana DeBose), who lives with her pet goat Valentino in Rosas, the kingdom of wishes located off the Iberian Peninsula.
