Super Mario toys are based off the popular Nintendo games. Mario is an Italian plumber who resides in the Mushroom Kingdom with his younger twin brother, Luigi. Their adventures generally center on rescuing Princess Peach from the villain Bowser while using power-ups that give them different abilities. The original name for Mario was actually Jumpman, which comes from the fact he had to leap over obstacles. The name Mario came from the landlord of the building where Nintendo of America was located, whose name was Mario Segale.
